For more than 20 years, the Strategic Studies Group (which is best known as GEES, its Spanish acronym) has provided leading decision-makers in Spain and elsewhere with strategic and political insights. We provide a wide range of services, including defense and security related analyses that are unparalleled in Spain.

By any measure, the demand for our services has sky-rocketed since the terrorist attacks in the United States on September 11, 2001, and the train bombings in Madrid on March 11, 2004.

Since then, our analysts, who have a broad range of experience in the public and private sectors, who come from several different countries and who collectively speak more than a dozen languages, have been exceptionally busy.

Indeed, GEES has produced literally thousands of in-depth reports, incisive analyses and substantive commentary on a variety of international issues over the past several years. And because GEES analysts are highly respected opinion-shapers, they are also regular commentators for television, radio and the print media in Spain, Europe and elsewhere around the world.

Nevertheless, our steadfast commitment to our ideological roots, which are decidedly center-right, along the lines of Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher, put us at a distinct disadvantage on a European continent that is drifting evermore towards the left of the ideological spectrum.

Moreover, our commitment to Europe’s Judeo-Christian heritage, and our unwavering support for the State of Israel, have complicated our fundraising efforts on a highly secularized European continent that denies its spiritual roots and increasingly questions Israel’s right to exist.
